My CVS Trip 2/16/10

LONG STORY:
I know that many of you will CRINGE when I tell you that my home is walking distance to CVS and yet I have never truly shopped at it.  In my defense, we have recently moved into our home...if I had lived here for years and then learned about all of the deals I should have been snagging I think I would be heartbroken!

I had a bad experience at CVS where I was formerly livning that I am not going to rehash but I decided that I would no longer shop at this store and until I moved to our new home I had not.

Since moving I have dropped off my daughter's prescription at the drive-thru at CVS by our house.  The other day I dropped off a prescription and received a $3 coupon if I spent $15....I had spent $60 on the copay for the prescription....these copays add up quickly!  I went home and told my hubby that I thought I wanted to try going back to CVS to shop because I keep seeing these deals online...I was going to give CVS another try.

Last night my husband tells me that he would love it if we had candles in the house.  We used to have candles all over our house but since having a little one that went to the wayside.  I remembered one of the deals at CVS this week was for Glade candles and I had Glade Fragrance Collection coupons.

Today, my mom took my daughter to the park and I headed to CVS.  I had my coupons on hand.  I looked around and found some treats for my daughter at 50% off since they were from Valentine's ... funny thing is that my daughter loves heart shaped anything no matter the time of the year...so it brought a smile to my face.

When I first thought about starting this blog I contacted Ashley who runs Frugal Coupon Living and asked her for permission to copy deals from her site.  She graciously agreed to it.  She posts weekly CVS and Walgreens Deals.  I will start to copy them over to this site as well giving credit where credit is due of course.  I don't think I would shop CVS without their weekly deals but I certainly think it is a great weapon in the stockpiling arsenal! Here are this week's deals that Ashley has provided.
