Okay, so I am going to make you wait to announce the winner of the autographed copy of
Danny The Dragon! Just a minute more because I just wanted to share with you a bit about the author, Tina Turbin. I had a chance to interview her via email and wanted to share with you some of the things she shared with me. Savvy, my daughter, had a chance to view a DVD where
Danny The Dragon was read out loud and also an interpreter was used that signed along with the book. I was not sure if Savvy would like this because it was not the typical animated movie she was used to watching but I can tell you what I told Tina. Savvy was glued to the television...when Danny came out of his shell all I heard was how cute he was. I had to watch the DVD several times before I finally said, no more. Something that got me about Tina is that she goes to hospitals to read her stories to children. As a mom who has spent too much time in hospital rooms with her baby girl I can tell you how amazingly grateful we are when someone gives of their time to entertain your child and allow them to forget even for a few minutes the grim reality of why they have IVs attached to them. Thank you, Tina from one hospital mom who is very grateful for people such as yourself!
