I want to share a concept that is not only frugal but also “green” for the environment! EasyLunchBoxes is a company started by a mom who saw a need out there that wasn’t be served. She was unhappy with the unhealthy lunch options her children had in school and yet her mornings were crazy trying to find containers and tops to put together for her kids healthy lunches that she made. This hit home for me. My daughter is not yet in school but will be soon. She has a severe dairy allergy and school purchased foods will not be an option for her so we will need a good system for our daily lunch prep.

There are a ton of lunch boxes in the market so what kind of need would this mom take care of with her product? This was my thought when I saw this product until I actually got my EasyLunchBox. The concept is so simple and yet so darn smart! According to their site it helps you organize, and quickly pack healthy lunches without wasting money, time, paper, or plastic…now you know when I read this it pulled at my frugal heart strings but I have plenty of storage containers and a lunch bag for my daughter so why would I have a need for this one?

When, I received the EasyLunchBox the first thing I realized was the size of it. It was a bit larger then the lunch boxes I had but small enough that it was not an inconvenience. The storage containers fit inside the soft lunch box…actually 2 storage containers fit inside comfortably (the best part is that the system has 4 storage containers)! This packs a lot of food. I can use this as a lunch box for my daughter or for my husband – it is truly a great size!

The first time, I used the EasyLunchBox was a few weeks ago when I went to the beach with my daughter and her cousins. I packed my daughter’s lunch in one container and then packed brownies for her and her cousins to share in another and still had room to put a whole banana on top of the 2 containers. I really liked this! With everything I was carrying to the beach it was nice to have one small bag that would fit lunch and treats without a concern.

To store the system it is easy. The lids and containers stack on each other and you can simply store them in the bag…seriously, this is one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?” ideas. If you are interested in purchasing one of these systems simply go HERE!
