I went to Target today and found a lot of items on clearance. Some of my best buys were just $.25. The Composition books were only a quarter and came in a lot of cute colors as well as the standard black and white. The Rayovac batteries were marked {Clearance} for $.50 but rang up for a quarter! With hurricane season here this is a great time to stock up on the batteries! The Target I went to had a pretty big display of them.

Thanks so much for sharing - I used comp books a ton for teaching and of course batteries are essential with 2 kids!
