These bands are great little reminders and I have to say that the one pictured above is my {fave}! Happiness is a state of mind - I saw these bands and immediately loved the idea. I can tell you that they are designed with a reflective material that they are washable (a great thing after a sweaty day!) and they are pretty comfortable to wear but that isn't what is so cool about these bands.
These bands come with sayings that remind us to live life and not just go through the motions of life...a quote I love from the SOMband site is:
Charles R. Swindoll once said, "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it."
Does that mean that by changing our reactions to the things that happen to us we can change our lives?
YES! This fact has been proven time and time again. The mind is a powerful thing; it can turn around disease and get one through seemingly impossible situations.
When I received my SOMbands to review the first thing I noticed was this {Gorgeous} man running and then I flipped the card and read about Mike Robbert who was diagnosed over 2 years ago with a stomach cancer that spread throughout his body...it continues to share that Mike will be competing in the Ford Ironman in Cozumel this year. I turned the card around again and that was when I noticed that this gorgeous man had a prosthetic leg...it hit me then that this is what the bands are about.
We all have ups and downs in our lives...some of us more then others but it is how we react to them that matter. My 3 year old had a liver transplant but you know what...she is simply a happy go lucky 3 year old because she does not know different.
This was a long review about a simple band...gotta say I Love Them!
