Danny The Dragon Book Review and Giveaway!

Tonight, we had the pleasure of reading a new book named Danny The Dragon to our daughter, Savannah.  Savannah is 3 years old and loves to “read” and lets you know pretty quickly if she is interested or not in a book.  Tonight, as you can see from her face in the picture she just adored her new book.

Danny The Dragon is an adorable story about a little boy, Jimmy, who found a very special shell. Danny The Dragon and his Navigator, Skipper, who come out of the special shell are charming and just a delightful friend for your little one’s imagination.  This is a lovely bedtime story for children of all ages.

Danny The Dragon is also available on an audio CD named Dreams.  This is such a great companion for the book for those independent children that like to read on their own or for when you are traveling in the car.  Dreams not only has the Danny The Dragon story but it also has some beautiful music that is soothing and just perfect for getting your sleepy little one to bed.

Danny The Dragon  was released along with the audio book, Dreams, at the Sesame Street classical concert in Los Angeles.  I am delighted to let you know that the author of this book has been kind enough to give a lucky Florida Frugal Family follower a chance to win an autographed copy of Danny The Dragon!  Look below for the GIVEAWAY details!

The author of this charming book is Tina Turbin (http://TinaTurbin.com) who is a widely-acclaimed, award-winning children's published author, writer, researcher, humanitarian and mother. Working for many years with children in the Entertainment Business, Tina has always been an advocate for families, women’s issues, and celiac and gluten issues as a way to improve the quality of lives of others (http://GlutenFreeHelp.info). As a member and contributing writer for such distinguished organizations as the National Association of Baby Boomer Women (NABBW), National Association of Divorced Women and Children (NADWC), Baby Boomer Knowledge Center, National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA), Awareness Magazine and numerous other publications, her indispensable advice on the topics of family, children's literacy, gluten, celiac disease and issues affecting women and children has proven invaluable to many.  Tina is proud to work closely with the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University Medical Center in raising funds and awareness for celiac research, and she is also a tireless supporter and friend to the community through her readings of her delightful Danny the Dragon children’s series (http://DannyTheDragon.com) at libraries, schools and hospitals.  Proud member of the Association of Booksellers for Children (ABC), the Southern Independent Booksellers Association.(SIBA) the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Florida Association for Media in Education (FAME).

I was provided the materials to review by Tina Turbin.  She was kind enough to allow me to interview her via email and I will share this with you at a later point. No other form of compensation was provided to me. This review is based on my opinion and more importantly the reaction of my 3 year old daughter.
