For those of you who follow Savvy's COTA site (a place where I journal updates on her life and health) you have read about Savvy and her Super Papi and their travels to the moon. You see every night Savvy and Super Papi discuss their plan to visit the moon...you know Super Papi loves Savvy up to the moon and back...so she would like to see the moon :)
They discuss her Purple Sparkly rocket ship and his blue rocket ship and Captain Savvy and her Co-Captain talk about the stars and all other things a 3 year old imagination can bring up (including how Mami will stay home to take care of the dogs...go figure ?!)
When I first heard Robert tell Savvy she can go to the moon I rolled my eyes at him...then I was told, who are we to tell her she can't? Afterall, if she did what is expected of her then she may not even be alive today...I looked through her first year scrapbook this weekend and I had a picture of her during a doctor's visits (unfortunately, I have a lot of those) and a note next to the picture....Mami, is so proud of you! The doctor tells me that you are the first baby with Biliary Atresia that she has seen in 16 years that continues to eat on her own.
As I write this review I have tears...you see a child has no boundaries...we teach them boundaries and limitations.
